I’m Karren O’Sullivan, lover of animals, nature, community and the healing arts… 

Always drawn to the life sciences, I chose a professional nursing career that spanned 20 years. My journey towards the practice of Reiki stemmed from my desire to learn a holistic and integrative approach of healing on many levels; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually for animals and myself.

In 2010, I started my Animal Reiki training with Kathleen Prasad, founder of Animal Reiki Source® (ARS) and president and co-founder of Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA) a “first of it’s kind” non-profit organization.

Starting in 2011, I became a certified Animal Reiki III Practitioner and began practicing with a variety of animals. Drawn to volunteering at my local animal shelter, I became a SARA Practitioner and Teacher in 2013. Fascinated by wildlife and power animals, I chose to expand my knowledge and experience by traveling to the CARE Foundation, a wildlife sanctuary in Florida, to take Level 3 Shinpiden Animal Reiki Teacher Training under Kathleen Prasad in 2014 and 2018.

In addition, I have done professional human-focused Reiki training. I completed Shinpiden taught by Frans Stiene in 2012 and I completed “Komyo Reikido Shinpiden” taught by Hyakuten Inamoto in 2019.

I started my own business Animal Reiki of Tulsa In 2017 inspired by using my experience and talents to facilitate healing for animals and their people through meditation. I use the highly effective and ethical Let Animals Lead® method created by my teacher and mentor, renowned Animal Reiki leader Kathleen Prasad!

My business includes offering distant sessions and in-person Animal Reiki sessions that nurture wellness and respect animals through honoring their choices, preferences and freedom in each Animal Reiki session.

I also teach a variety of Animal Reiki classes to the public, animal shelter staff & volunteers, veterinarians and their staff. Certifying students in Levels 1, 2 & 3 Animal Reiki in person, this training uses the Let Animals Lead® method and professional books and manuals exclusively provided to Animal Reiki Source® and SARA Teachers!

In my spare time, I volunteer at the Tulsa SPCA aligned with SARA’s mission to bring peace and wellness to shelter animals.

My living vision is to create a peaceful haven for animals and their people through practicing and teaching Reiki meditation.
